Mjöllnir est un marteau magique forgé par les Nains Brokk et Eitri pour Thor, à la suite d’un défi lancé par le Dieu farceur Loki. Lors de sa fabrication, pour se débarrasser de Loki transformé en mouche, Brokk s’arrête un court instant d’activer le soufflet ; c’est la raison pour laquelle le manche du marteau est un peu court. L’arme est cependant extraordinaire : elle frappe fort sans jamais s’abimer, elle ne manque jamais le but contre lequel elle est lancée et revient toujours dans la main de Thor. En outre, le marteau est un objet magique : ainsi, il ressuscite les boucs que Thor a dévorés. Cette arme dans les mains de Thor est un fléau pour les Géants et symbolise la protection de l’univers face aux forces du chaos.
L’anneau de richesse
Draupnir, comme le marteau Mjöllnir, est forgé par les Nains Brokk et Eitri. Cet anneau possède la propriété que, chaque neuvième nuit, huit anneaux d’or du même poids en dégouttent. Odin l’offrira sur le bûcher de son fils assassiné Balder.
Un trait infaillible
Gungnir est la lance donnée à Odin par les Nains Brokk et Eitri. Cet objet magique ne rate jamais sa cible et est toujours mortel. Une fois lancée, elle revient dans la main d’Odin.
Une erreur de jeunesse
Mimming est l’épée de vie de Frey. Elle avait la propriété magique de combattre toute seule. Quand il réussit à obtenir l’amour de la Géante Gerd, Frey la donna à son messager Skirnir en guise de remerciement pour ses services. Elle lui manquera dans son duel avec Surt lors de la bataille de la plaine de Vigrid.
L’Epée
Hofund, « tête d’homme », est l’épée d’Heimdall : elle lui permettra, au soir du Ragnarök, de tuer Loki.

Gleipnir est le lien qui maintient le loup mythique Fenrir attaché. Bien que ce lien soit aussi fin qu’un ruban de soie, il est plus résistant que n’importe quelle chaine. Il fut façonné par les nains dans leur royaume souterrain de Svartalfheim à partir de six ingrédients qui, en principe, n’existent pas : Le bruit de pas d’un chat, de la barbe d’une femme, les racines d’une montagne, les tendons d’un ours, le souffle d’un poisson, et le crachat d’un oiseau.

The most fearsome weapon
Mjöllnir is a magic hammer made by the Dwarves Brokk and Eitri for Thor, following a bet of Loki the traitor. The ring of wealth
Draupnir, like Mjöllnir, has been made by the Dwarves brokk and Eitri. This ring has magic abilityt : that every ninth night there fall from it eight gold rings of equal weight. It will be placed by Odin on the funeral pyre of his son Balder.
An unerring shaft
Gungnir is Odin’s spear given by the Dwarves. This weapon always hits its mark and always kills. Once thrown, it comes back directly in Odin’s hand.
A youthful indiscretion
Mimming is Frey’s sword. It has the magic ability to fight on its own. When he married the Giantess Gerd, Frey gave it away to his servant Skirnir to thank him. However, lacking his sword, Freyr will be killed by the Fire Giant Surt during the events of Ragnarök.
The Sword
Hofund, « head of man », is Heimdall’s sword : with it, he will kill Loki during the events of Ragnarök.
The strongest binding
Gleipnir is the binding that holds the mighty wolf Fenrir. Even though it is as thin as a silken ribbon, it is stronger than any iron chain. It was forged by the Dwarves in their underground realm of Svartálfaheim, and made of six ingredients : the sound of a cat’s footfall, the beard of a woman, the roots of a mountain, the sinews of a bear, the breath of a fish, the spittle of a bird.
